Carol was Born June 23, 1939 and died peacefully of heart failure October 12, 2024. She is survived by her husband, John Erjavec, two brothers (Roger and Walter Moore), three children (Sharon, Stephen, and Julia Hershey) five stepsons (Eric, David, and Whitney Durell, and John and James Erjavec) and their families including seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Carol was a prolific artist who exhibited throughout the Midwest. Her artwork now hangs in many homes throughout the country. She was an ardent supporter of Ohio artists, and founded High Road Gallery in the historic 1818 building which she salvaged from ruin in downtown Worthington. She received a citation from Worthington’s mayor for preserving a piece of Worthington’s history and breathing life into the local art world. In addition to her busy art life, she was an avid tennis player, an enthusiastic reader of books, and a lifelong learner, spending a month in Chautauqua every season for the last 35 years. A celebration of Carol’s life will be held at Schoedinger Funeral Home, 6699 N High Street, Worthington, OH, November 13 from 11:30 to 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, you may make a contribution to one of her favorite charities, the Salvation Army.
