Suzanne Marie Brackett stepped into eternity on August 14, 2023, in Canton, GA, at the age of 74. She was born on July 13, 1949, in Racine, WI, to Albert and Mary Karls. Suzanne was a loving and generous soul, fiercely loyal, caring deeply for those around her in very tangible ways. Her family was the center of her world, and she doted on her beloved husband, David Brackett, her children and their spouses, Ann Murphine (Johnny) and John Edwards (Sarah), and her grandchildren, Susannah Murphine and Audrey and Maggie Edwards. Suzanne is also survived by her oldest sister Kathy Wuthrich (Alan), and her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two of her sisters, Patricia Montesi and Deborah Karls.
Suzanne spent most of her working life in auto dealerships, where she handled accounting and other administrative tasks. She was a dedicated employee, giving over and above what was asked of her in every situation. When she was not working, Suzanne enjoyed bargain shopping and spending time with her husband and their pets, but her greatest joy by far was spoiling her grandchildren.
Suzanne was a parishioner of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Woodstock, GA. Her faith was an important aspect of her life and provided her with comfort and guidance.
Services to honor Suzanne's life will be held at Woodstock Funeral Home (8855 Main Street, Woodstock, GA) on Saturday, August 19, 2023, with visitation at 10:00 AM, and memorial service at 11:00 AM. The graveside service will take place at Cherokee Memorial Park (120 Memorial Drive, Canton, GA) following the memorial service.
In memory of Suzanne, donations can be made to The HOPE Center of Woodstock, GA, a local pro-life organization, through their website www.supporthopecenter.com. Additionally, as leukemia ultimately claimed her life after a short but brave battle, contributions to any organization funding leukemia research or treatment would be fitting.
Suzanne will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her loving nature, dedication, wisdom, and generosity will forever be remembered and cherished.
