Rosa S. Barton

Mrs. Rosa S. “Rosemarie” Barton, 79, of Woodstock, GA passed away September 23, 2015. She was born on May 4, 1936 in Bad Kissingen, Germany. In the 1950’s, Rosemarie met her husband, Frank, who was stationed with the Army in Germany. They married and she moved to America. She worked as a Nurse’s Aide, textile factory worker and as a cafeteria employee for Cherokee and Fulton Counties. While working in Fulton County, she was honored as employee of the year many times. She was very fun loving and energetic. When Rosemarie was not spending time with her children and grandchildren, she was making arts and crafts. She also loved flowers and nature. She was a devoted Christian and will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Franklin Barton, parents, Willie and Frieda Spiegal and brothers, Armin and Eberhard Spiegel. Rosemarie leaves behind her daughters, Debra “Debbie” Ann Barton and Linda Barton Reed and her husband Tim, grandchildren, Melissa, Hannah and Charity, great-grandchild, Jordan and brother, Karl Spiegel. A funeral service will be Sunday, September 27, 2015 at 3:00pm at Mill Creek Baptist Church, E. Cherokee Dr, Woodstock, GA. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 6-8pm at Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main St, Woodstock, GA 30188.
