Kathleen Head Johnson, of Gainesville, Georgia died on March 17, 2017 at Lanier Village Estates where she had made her home since June 2001. She was a native of Atlanta and was educated at Girls High School and Agnes Scott College. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Gainesville.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Beverly Johnson, also an Atlanta native. For 55 years they lived in Daytona Beach, Florida, and for a number of years also enjoyed a summer home in Maggie Valley, North Carolina. She is also preceded in death by brothers, Robert F. Head, Jr. and Clark W. Head.
She is survived by her son, Charles B. Johnson, Jr. and wife, Gale, of Woodstock, Georgia. The family would like to thank caregivers, Leta Fulk, Robin Jarrells, Martha McIntyre, Angie Rider and Susan Rodgers for their special help. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 11:00a.m. at Enon Cemetery, Woodstock, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Johnson’s honor to the American Red Cross. Arrangements are under the direction of Woodstock Funeral Home.
