Bud was a go getter, never slowing down. He loved dancing with his wife, Mino. They also spent a lot of time travelling around the country. Bud was in insurance, and worked until the very end. He was the oldest active insurance agent in Georgia, and he holds the oldest active insurance license as well in Georgia. Bud was an amazing storyteller, and was always ready with a good Dad joke. He was a man of the Lord and was active in his church. Bud was a Mason, and a very proud, long time member of the Pen Fanciers Club in the Atlanta area.
In addition to his parents, Bud is preceded in death by his great grandson, T.J. Freeland.
Bud is lovingly survived by his wife of 64 years, Mino I. Holcomb; children, Deborah Matthews Hale, William David Holcomb, Pamela Mayo (Custer); brother, Bobby Joe Holcomb; grandchildren, Tony Dale Freeland (Kim), Tina Michelle Earls (Brian); great-grandchildren, Brianna McCormack, Ben Earls, Braxton Earls, Jessica Bean, as well as one great great grandchild, Adam Lindsey.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 6, 2024, from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, Georgia. A service for Bud will take place Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 12:00pm in the Chapel at Woodstock Funeral Home. Bud will be laid to rest at Green Lawn Cemetery, 950 Mansell Rd, Roswell, Georgia.
