Fred Gary Walker went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, August 10, 2015. Fred loved to share the precious gift of salvation through his Lord and Savior. He loved being a father and a grandfather. He was a member of Noonday Baptist Church and loved his church family. Fred was born on November 21, 1946 to Fred Thomas Walker and Olive Pearl Walker in Modesto, CA. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Maxine (Daggs), mother, Olive Walker, daughter, Tina Koehler and her husband Christopher, son, Rodney David Walker and his wife, Candace, grandchildren, Courtney Jean Koehler, Brandon Walker Koehler, Shelby, Cire, Cooper and Kaci Walker, brother, Russ L. Walker, sister, Gayle Huniwell and her husband Kern. He is also survived by a close family of sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. Fred was employed for 41 years as an engineer for Americold Logistics, a worldwide frozen food storage company. Fred was a member of International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration where he served 2 terms on the board of directors and 1 as chairman. A memorial service will be on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 10:30am at Noonday Baptist Church. After the service, friends are invited to join the family for a reception and fellowship at the church.
