Dee Anne Rogers, age 65, passed away on Saturday, October 19th in the comfort of her home and surrounded by her family after an extended illness. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama on April 27th, 1959, to Dennis Michael and Linda Gail (Cook) Swearengin. She is survived by her husband, Joseph F Rogers Jr., her two sons, Justin William Rogers and Jordan Wesley Rogers, uncle Vann Cook (Joyce), aunt Tammy Bowers (Dwayne), close family members, many nieces, nephews, and extended group of supportive friends.
A graduate of Woodlawn High School, she continued her education at Birmingham Southern College and Samford University. As an employee of First National Bank of Birmingham (now Regions Bank), she was instrumental in starting their Bill Payer service. In 1987, Dee Anne moved to Atlanta with her husband Joe, and dedicated herself to becoming a full-time mother and homemaker after the birth of her two children with whom she was immensely supportive in both their academic and extracurricular endeavors. She was a wonderful, selfless mother and a caring, devoted wife. Her family and friends meant the world to her.
The family would like to recognize the excellent care provided by Affinity Hospice including her primary caregivers Tracy, Peter, Stasy, Yvette, Angela, Cynthia, and Judith.
Visitation will be held at Woodstock Funeral Home from 10 to 11am on Saturday, November 2nd with a memorial service and celebration of life at 11am. A graveside service will be held at Pleasant Hill Church Of Christ, 2408 Morton Rd, Warrior, AL at 4pm Eastern time / 3pm Central time.
