Celeste entered this world quickly. Her father (Marv), after completing hospital forms, made it to delivery in time to see momma (Madelyn) being rolled out. His first question was “what did we have?” Momma said, “we got our Baby Girl!” From that time on, her momma called her “my Baby Girl!”.
Celeste has been reunited with father, Marvin Nicholas Merle, her maternal grandparents Cecile Irene Farrand, Thomas Wesley Huff, and step-grandfather, Raymond Farrand; her paternal grandparents Marion and Nicholas Merle.
She leaves to cherish in her memory, her mother, Madelyn Irene Merle, Cheryl Renee Bullard; brother, Clark Nicholas Merle; daughters, Heather Esther Irene Merle and Victoria Madelyn Velasco; grandchildren, Raymond Isaiah Aguilera, Elizabeth Irene Merle, and Daniel Isaac Merle.
She also leaves aunts and uncles, Phyllis and John Moffitt, and Kathy and Kent Forster. Additionally she leaves nieces and nephews Clark Nicholas Merle, Jr, Matthew Isaiah Merle, Madelyn Irene Merle, and Isabella Lena Merle and numerous cousins.
Celeste was a “girly girl.” One Christmas, in Celeste’s very early years, she received a matchbox car. She was puzzled and asked, is this for me?? For her, it was dolls, from baby dolls to Barbies. As she grew, it was all about clothes and what was in fashion. Of course, as a teenager, enter makeup and perfume! Lots of perfume! Celeste’s love for scents was a lifelong adventure. Celeste also had a very artistic side as she painted in her style, ceramics, or was doing crafts. She was always an animal lover surrounded by her cats and dogs. As an adult, this passion for animals transcended to her fascination for dragons.
She had such a loving soul and tender heart. She was sweet, kind, and steadfastly loyal. Celeste’s giving spirit, quick wit, raucous sense of humor, and contagious, robust belly laugh prevailed throughout her life’s journey. When she was pleased, you knew it. When she was disappointed, you knew it. If you were fortunate enough to be loved by her, you knew it!
She had a very social spirit from the time she was very young. She loved to play with her brother, cousins, and friends. It might be a simple game of hide and seek with a guarantee that laughter would always ensue. As Celeste grew, she was constantly surrounded by her many girl friends who always ended up at Celeste’s home. And before they all headed out, they all did a final check on clothes, makeup, and yes perfume! You could follow their path by the lingering scent!
Celeste deepest love and pride came with the birth of her two beautiful daughters, Heather and Victoria. Her girls became her true passion her purpose in this life. These three were inseparable. This love, pride, and purpose deepened with the birth of her three amazing grandchildren, Raymond, Elizabeth, and Daniel. Celeste’s favorite exclamations for these special people that so filled her life was AWESOME AND WOW!
Her love and pride were ever apparent and one could easily see that Celeste was most content, most proud, and at her happiest when surrounded by her two daughters and three grandchildren.
Celeste left this world as quickly as she arrived. She is now truly the free spirit she was meant to be soaring high and maybe with a dragon or two. Celeste will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever carried in our hearts.
The Lord Blessed us with Celeste’s worldly presence until he called her home.
