Annie Lee Cleveland, age 91, passed away on June 19, 2017. A native of Woodstock, Mrs. Cleveland was well traveled and had lived in various states and countries while her husband, Jack, was serving in the US Air Force. In Europe, she found her love of painting and would recreate many pieces she recalled during her time there. She was very creative and also had a love of storytelling and sewing. Mrs. Cleveland was a woman of leisure, was witty and a mother to many. She had worked as a nurse when Wellstar Kennestone Hospital first opened in Marietta and had also served as a past Worthy Matron for the Eastern Stars. Mrs. Cleveland is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Jack Cleveland; parents, James and Lovenia Ghorley; brother, Jimmy Ghorley; and sisters, Edna Grimes, Parilee Whitley and Montiree Ross. Survivors include daughter, Sue Youngblood of Woodstock; sister, Johnnie Eubanks of Woodstock; grandchildren, Tina Wilkins and her husband, Ty, of Woodstock, Lovenia Houston and her husband, Chris, of Canton and Dina Murtagh and her husband, Gray, of Canton; great-grandchildren, Hannah and Jacob Wilkins, and Daniel and Andrew Houston; and many nieces and nephews to cherish her memory. The family will receive friends Friday, June 23, 2017 from 10:30 am until service time at 11:00 am at Carmel Baptist Church in Woodstock. Burial will follow at Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery.
