Marianne Bonica was called home to the Lord on July 15,2022. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 24, 1934 to Albert and Emma (Berends) Breuning. She attended Erasmus Hall High School. Upon graduation, she worked as an Administrative assistant in New York City. On May 22, 1960, she married Joseph Bonica at Queen of All Saints Church in Brooklyn. The young couple made their home in Queens where they welcomed 2 sons, Joseph and Robert. When her sons were older, Marianne worked as a Dental Assistant and then for many years as a Bus Matron for Varsity Bus and Atlantic Express . Marianne is survived by her sons Joseph (Carol) of Eastchester, N.Y. and Robert (Diane) of Massapequa, N.Y. and her beloved grandchildren Joseph, Angela and Emma and her brother Albert (Joan) Breuning of Brooklyn.
A gathering for Marianne will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Thomas M. Quinn & Sons, 41- 45 58th Street, Woodside, NY 11377. A mass of christian burial will occur Wednesday, July 20, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Fatima, 2502 80th Street, East Elmhurst, NY 11370. A Committal service will occur Wednesday, July 20, 2022 from 11:45 AM to 12:30 PM at
Pinelawn Memorial Park, 2030 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
