Margaret Melendez

Margaret "Maggie" Eckert (Melendez) passed away on April 9, 2023, at the age of 59 in Westchester, NY. She was born on August 24, 1963, in Manhattan, NY. Maggie was a kind-hearted, funny, and thoughtful woman with strong faith. She loved her family dearly and was an excellent cook. Maggie's personality left a lasting impact on everyone that had the pleasure of meeting her. Her passing is a great loss to her family, and she will be deeply missed.

Maggie is survived by her husband Vincent Eckert, children Natalie Dougherty Ellison and her husband Gary George Ellison, Robert John Dougherty, and Daniel Ryan Dougherty and his wife Irish Dougherty, along with grandsons Connor John Ellison, Daniel Ryan Dougherty Jr., and Owen Patrick Dougherty. She is also survived by her siblings Joseph Melendez and his wife Helena Melendez, their son Ruark Melendez, Frances Rodriguez and her husband Ramon Rodriguez, their children Tanya Rivera, Annette Marin, Cindy Sumner, and Ricardo Rodriguez, William Melendez and his wife Luz Melendez, and their daughter Melissa Melendez. Lillian G Dougherty, her mother-in-law, also survives her. Maggie was preceded in death by her parents Ana Morressani and Juan Melendez.

Maggie worshipped at St. Bridget's Catholic Church. Her hobbies included dancing, cooking, and music. Her funeral services were held at Conway Funeral Home on April 12, 2023.
