Aurea (nee: Valiente), 93, formerly of Jackson Heights, NY, passed away on March 16 2014 at Northern Manor, Nanuet NY. Born in Corozal, Puerto Rico, Aurea lived in New York City most of her life where she met the love of her life Zoilo F Rivera. They married on November 3, 1940. Aurea is predeceased by her beloved husband, Zoilo; her mother Susanna Luciano Diaz; her father Manuel Valiente; her sisters; Ana Pena, Frances Suarez, Martha Attard, Gladys Bishop and her brother Manuel Valiente. Aurea will be sadly missed by her devoted sons, Edwin and his wife Sachiko, Michael and Elle, Jeffrey and his wife Linda; her grandchildren Shimain, Christopher, Eric and Christian as well as her cherished brother, Louis Valiente; and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a memorial donation to the American Cancer Society
