Wallace "Wally" Johnson

Preceded in death by his parents Anton Ernest and Hilma Johnson, his sisters Dorothy (Frank) Boudewyns and Marcella (Romolo) Mondo and son-in-law Steven Nelson.

Survived by beloved wife Darlene, loving children Olivia Mazo, Julianne Nelson, Terence (Susan) Johnson, Timothy Johnson, and Elizabeth Diaz, adored grandchildren Kenneth and John Burdette (Stacy Northway), Jeffery Kokaisel, Rachel Lenzen (Joe), Michael Nelson (Bethany), Abbie and Katja Johnson, and Madeleine Diaz; and dearest great grandchildren Alex, Piper and Chase Burdette, Emelia and Wynston Lenzen, and Robert Nelson.

Wally was a devout Catholic, devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and a selfless man who spent most of his life in service of others. He served in the US Army, was a hospital volunteer, sponsored a child through Catholic Charities, and enjoyed a long career as a teacher. He was role model, a talented wood worker generous with his talents and had a playful sense of humor, especially with his grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at Wulff Woodbury Funeral Home, 2195 Woodlane Dr., Woodbury, MN 55125. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Visitation one hour prior to service, from 10 - 11 AM at St. Ambrose of Woodbury Church, 4125 Woodbury Dr., Woodbury, MN 55129. A luncheon will follow mass at church. Interment to follow at St. John's Cemetery, Little Canada.
