A U.S. Navy veteran, Philip never met a stranger and was always ready to help those in need. While he loved to travel - either on a cruise ship or on his Harley - he was just as happy being at home with family and friends celebrating birthdays, holidays, or just being together. Philip also loved the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Twins and often took the family to the games. Philip enjoyed playing many types of games including table tennis league play and poker with the same group of guys for over 20 years. He loved playing Scrabble and solving puzzles – crossword, jigsaw, and cryptograms – but was especially good at solving computer software challenges. Philip retired in 2016 after a 20-year career as the Chief Technology Officer for Absolute Software in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, but remained retained by Absolute on a contract basis.
Friends and family will miss his free spirit, sharp wit, and homemade cheesecake.
