Christopher Ben Knutson

Christopher Ben Knutson, age 61, of Cottage Grove, MN (formerly of Roseville, MN) passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his wife and children on Sunday, January 28, 2024 after a five-year battle with cancer. Chris was born June 22nd, 1962 in Saint Paul, MN.

Preceded in death by his mother and father Dorothy and Merlen “Bud” Knutson; brother James Knutson, sister Carol Erickson; mother-in-law Carole Olson; father-in-law David Olson; brother-in-law Daniel Olson and sister in-law Edith Olson.

Survived by loving wife Sandra of 36 years, daughter Alexandra (Jordan) Eiden, son Christopher (Annie) Knutson and granddaughter Reese Knutson; brothers Robert (Kelly) Knutson and John (Beth) Knutson, sister Patricia McCann; mother-in-law Patricia Olson; sisters-in-law Betty Knutson and Christine (Joe) Boldt; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Chris wore several hats in his professional life. He spent many years in the furniture business – delivery, sales and repair before landing his true calling at Presbyterian Homes of Inver Grove Heights as a maintenance technician in the engineering department. His compassion and devotion to the residents earned him many recognitions and awards.

Chris enjoyed all things nature. Many of his outdoor hobbies to include hunting, fishing, boating, foraging for mushrooms, gardening, and feeding his furry and feathery friends –the cardinals were especially his favorite of the many visitors. Chris loved his family, friends, pets, Jesus and Elvis.

A memorial service for Christopher will be held Friday, February 9, 2024 at 3:00 PM, with a visitation starting at 1:00 PM, at Wulff Woodbury Funeral Home, 2195 Woodlane Dr, Woodbury, Minnesota 55125.
