Muriel Belon (nee Cope) passed away on October 22, 2024 at the age of 99 years in the Broadview Centennial Lodge.
She was predeceased by her parents Ted and Alice Cope; husband Bill Belon; son Wayne Belon; sisters Dodie (Al Hammond) and Eileen (Fred Rothenburger); and brothers Tom Cope and Doug Cope (Alma).
Muriel worked a few years as a cook and later as a nurses’ aide in the Broadview Union Hospital. Then she was a cook in Broadview Centennial Lodge until she retired at 65 years. She loved family, company and all pets.
Muriel is survived by her two daughters, Florence (Flossie) Tebbutt (Ray Cope) and Shannon Belon (Gerald Ostlie); sister Barb (Bob Petrie); sister-in-law Tillie Cope; also grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She will be missed.
At her request, there will be a private graveside service at a later date.
