Gladys was the youngest and last surviving child of the 14 born to Laura and Gustave Browatzke. She and Ben were blessed with 61 years of marriage and 3 children – Diann, Gary and Debra. Their family has grown to 3 grandchildren – Laurie, Greg and Dustin, 5 great-grandchildren – Matthew, Jordan, Nathan, Cohen and Carly and 2 great-great-grandchildren – Paxton and Knox.
Together they worked long, hard hours on the farm to make a living for their family. She was either outside on a tractor, in the garden or in their home looking after things inside. While doing all of this she was an amazing mom too!! As Diann and Gary got older, they were able to help with these chores. This allowed her time to do a little business for herself – selling Avon. Her and Debra would spend hours on the road collecting and delivering orders.
From the farm they moved to Windthorst in 1992. Gladys enjoyed her time in town planting flowers and having coffee with friends downtown. A few more moves would take place over the years until her many health issues took her to her final home in heaven.
She always loved time with family and friends and will be missed greatly by all those who knew her.
A visitation for Gladys was held in Tubman Funeral Home, Kipling, Saskatchewan on Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. An interment was held in the Windthorst Cemetery, Windthorst, Saskatchewan on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. followed by the funeral service in the Parkland Bible Church, Kipling, Saskatchewan at 2:00 p.m.
