He will be deeply missed by his wife of 49 years Pauline (nee Kotylak), their son Devin, and his children, Harrison, Cohen, Bennett and their mom, Courtney, daughter Trina (Jeff Demitor) and their son Jaxson, daughter Connie, her children, Jiri, Adele, Serjay and their dad, Richard Perras, daughter, Sara Rissling (Adrian Arnason), and their children, James, Isabelle, Ava, Lily, Kayli and his special dog, Buddy, brother Terry (Helen), sister-in-law, Paulette, brother Rod (Carol), mother-in-law, Nellie Kotylak, brother-in-law, Stephen Kotylak, sister-in-law, Helen (Terry) Baumgartner, sister-in-law, Mary (Tom) Nicholson, brother-in-law, John (Cheryl) Schmidt, brother-in-law, Bernie (Jean) Kotylak, sister-in-law, Phyliss (Rick) Bells, sister-in-law, Julianne (Ken) Walbaum, brother-in-law, Peter (Janet) Kotylak, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Doug was predeceased by his brother, Barry Baumgartner, parents, John and Frances Baumgartner, his father-in-law, Andrew Kotylak, son-in-law, Kevin Rissling, sister-in-law, Kosh Schmidt, nephews, Mark Baumgartner, Tyler Sebastian & John Schmidt and his grandson, Javy Perras.

There was a celebration of life for family and close friends on Sunday, September 18, 2022.
