Dale leaves to mourn his father, Morley and his mothers Marina and Lisa. He leaves his legacy to carry on, his brothers: Dan (Faith), Marty, Chief Evan Taypotat (Megaen), Anthony, Andrew and Brodie; his sisters: Joanne, Krista, Trisha and Lanishia; his children, who are his greatest legacy: Brandon, Dale Jr, Mirah, Khloe and Pretty Rose; his grandchildren that held a special place in his heart Brynly and Brier; his Goddaughters Everly and Measha SittingEagle; numerous Gardypie and Watson uncles, aunties and cousins too numerous to mention.
Dale made his mark in this world through his gift of fastball. He was especially proud of he and his teammates 7 time Canadian Native Fastball Championship titles. An accomplishment that very few can attain. At a young age, he had the natural gift of athleticism. Later on in his life he was proud to coach and win banners for his Siksika Midget Boys Hockey Club. Honorary pallbearers are those who have had the privilege to play alongside him.
The wake was held in Chief Denton George Memorial Multiplex, Ochapowace Nation on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. The services was held in the Chief Denton George Memorial Multiplex on Friday, February 17, 2023 with the feast starting at 11:00 a.m. and the funeral following at 1:00 p.m. with Winston Bear and Pastor Hoss Jack officiating. Interment followed in Ochapowace Reserve Cemetery.
The pallbearers were: Ernie Goodwill Sr., Delano Mike, Gary Leggott Sr., Jarred Allary, Greg Cameron Sr. and Ellery SittingEagle.
