Pastor Fred E. White, born February 4, 1921, to James and Augusta White in Hanover Jamaica, West Indies, passed away in Miramar, Florida on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at age 94, after a brief illness. He was a graduate of West Indian Training College (now Northern Caribbean University) and Atlantic Union College. For 46 years he served faithfully as a Seventh-day Adventist pastor. During that time he pastored numerous churches and served in several administrative positions. Pastor White loved people and had a personable approach to pastoring. He retired from full time ministry in 1999. His passions in life included watching cricket, gardening and enjoying time with his family and friends. Pastor White is preceded in death by his son Ray and son-in-law, Samuel Hutchins. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Andita; his daughters Sharon and Rochelle (Paul); and his grandchildren Jhanae, Julian and Jholie and a host of other relatives and friends.
His funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at the Mt. Sinai Seventh-day Adventist Church, 2600 Orange Center Blvd., Orlando, FL, with visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The interment will follow the service at Highland Memory Gardens, 3329 Semoran Boulevard, Apopka, FL 32703. Immediately after the interment there will be a repast at the North Orlando Seventh-day Adventist Church, 4125 N. Hiawassee Road, Orlando, FL 32818.
