Frances Cecelia Prusky Knapp, 87, passed away peacefully on September 26th 2024, at home surrounded by family. She was a beloved mother, wife, and grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Frances was born on June 19, 1937 in Ravenna, Ohio, where she spent her formative years until marrying Richard Knapp on September 21, 1957. Frances worked as a registered nurse in orthopedics, mother and baby care, as well as telephone triage for the Ask a Nurse program. For everyone who knew her, they all knew what a loving, caring person she was and that she was always eager to help others. She was full of life, love, laughter, and resilience. Frances especially loved being a grandmother and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Richard; her sons, David and Jeffrey; and her two grandchildren, Lillian and Eli. Frances was preceded in death by her sister, Victoria Prusky Hoskins.
Frances was the greatest gift to the family and will be missed and thought of every day.
A Memorial Mass will be held on October 19th at 10:30 am. at St.s Peter & Paul Catholic Church. A committal service will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer society in Loving Memory of Frances.
