Cohen, Elizabeth Elizabeth Ann Wiese Cohen died on December 18, 2014, restfully at home surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her beloved husband Jules Cohen, four children, twelve grandchildren, and five great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her children are Lynda Haskett (Steve), Laurel Cohen (Larry Walker), Richard Cohen, and Ronald Cohen (Janice Michelle). Her grandchildren are Cynthia (Tony), Steven (Sarah), Elisabeth, Benjamin, Heather, Rachel, Hunter, Michael, Victoria, Ryan, Adam, and Lauren. Her great grandchildren are Angelica, Haleigh, Meghan, Evelyn, and Elouise. Elizabeth was born in Collinsville, Illinois, September 16, 1935, to Herman and Jessie Wiese, who preceded her in death. Elizabeth was also preceded by her sister, Dorothy Wiese Esterlein and brother Herman "Bud" Wiese. For most of her life, Elizabeth worked in law offices. During the last 35 years of her working career, Elizabeth worked with her husband Jules S. Cohen at his law office. She is a past member of the American Bar Association, American Business Women, Orange County Legal Administrators, and numerous other organizations. Elizabeth enjoyed music, crafts, painting, writing, and cooking. She would gladly spend her time creating arts and crafts and meals for her family, friends, and organizations that helped those in need. Elizabeth also enjoyed family gatherings and social events and had the ability to strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere. She loved traveling the world with Jules, visiting her family, and helping children learn to read and write. She was generous with her time, her heart, and her resources. She was a hands-on mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who always put the people in her life first. She always tried to spread cheer and joy to those in need, offering a kind word, profound advice, and compassion. Elizabeth would like to be remembered as a person who loved God, her Jules, her family, her country, and someone who made an effort to help those in need. She was a dear friend to all who met her. Elizabeth was a lifelong Lutheran and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church since 1971.Donations in Elizabeth's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or Rebecca's Garden of Hope, 2212 S.
