Betty Lewin Hilley passed away on July 13, 2016 at the age of 92. She made her home in Oviedo, Florida for the past 29 years. She was born in Key West, Florida in April of 1924. Mrs. Hilley leaves her husband Jasper E. Hilley married 60 years; her daughter Susan Hilley-Arcaya of Winter Springs, Florida; her son Michael Patrick Hilley and his wife Donna “Cashion” Hilley of Cocoa, Florida; granddaughters Bethany and Emma Arcaya of Winter Springs, Florida; Lisa “Hilley” Taylor of Dallas, Texas; great grandsons Jonathon and Preston Taylor of Dallas, Texas; her cousins of the Lewin family; her cousins of the Canfield family; also many nieces and nephews of the Hilley family. Mrs. Hilley attended Key West High School in Florida and NYA Business School in Ocala, Florida. She was employed at Naval Air Station, Boca Chica, Florida and Naval Station, Key West, Florida (formerly U.S. Naval Submarine Base) in the Comptroller Department as Director of the Accounting Division. She retired in 1965. She was a lifetime member of the First Congregational Church in Key West, Florida where she taught Sunday school for over forty years. Mrs. Betty Lewin Hilley was also a charter member of the National Republican Congressional Committee. A graveside service will be held at Glen Haven Memorial Park, Winter Park, Florida at 11 am on Monday, July 18, 2016 with Pastor Tom Hensley officiating.
