Benjy’s loving spirit is carried on by his wife, Tina; their children Harry, Danny, Evelyn, Ellen, Johnny, Michael , and Ana; thirteen grandchildren, Shirley, Leslie, Kimberly, Mina, Joshua, Leanna, Lynelle, Minelys, Elias, Milan, Tristan, Madison, and Ayden; six great-grandchildren, Jayllen, Benji, Lynnette, Mylah, Malian, Gabriella, Gianna, and Amer with another on the way; and his beloved dog, Bella. Preceding him in peace were his parents Amalia Marta Rivera and Félix Berrios Santiago, many siblings and his grandson, Delfim Mathew Nunes. His family honors this wonderful being, Benjy, as he was affectionately called, in his passing.
Benjy studied, became a man of great human warmth, kind and hardworking. Benjy will always be remembered for his selfless ways, tearing up while attempting to tell his stories and jokes, sitting with his legs crossed while drinking his coffee, which set the pattern for his son Michael, grandson Ayden, and great grandson Benji, and how he loved to serenade us with his baladas. Benjy also held many titles in his life, from construction worker, handy man, car sales, mechanic, know it all, his wife’s personal manicurist, hairstylist, protector, and our professional tooth puller; but his favorite role was being a husband, father and grandfather.
Our gratitude to all who made Benjy’s life and last days, memorable.
A memorial service for Benjamin will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home, 7520 ALOMA AVE, WINTER PARK, FL 32792.
