Barbara was the daughter of Ben and Elizabeth McGuffey. She and her sisters were raised in Orlando on Lake Silver in College Park. Barbara was married for almost 70 years to Eugene W. Kelsey who passed away in 2016. She is survived by sons Robert Eugene (Laurie) and James Michael (Debbie); five grandchildren: Allison, Brock, Courtney, Katie and Monica; and 12 great grandchildren, all dearly loved. Barbara is also survived by her three sisters: Patty Tanner, Virginia McGuffey, and Margaret Colwell (Doug).
Barbara was an active member of First Baptist Church of Orlando since 1937. She taught Sunday School for 38 years, 25 of those years were with the youth ministry. Barbara also served as a decision counselor for over 30 years and various committees in the Church. She went on 14 mission trips with her husband Gene to various parts of the world sharing the Gospel. For 20 years Barbara had faithfully helped grade Bible Study papers for the Prison Ministry Orange County Correctional.
Also active in her community, Barbara was a volunteer as a Pink Lady through Orange Memorial Hospital (now ORHS) for 11 years and President of the Pink Lady Auxiliary for one year. She served on the Board of Directors for the Hospital, Board of Orlando’s Youth Center and Sorosis Club in the 1950’s.

There will be a private family celebration service at a later date.
