Ann Marie (Witte) Myers was born on July 13, 1949 in Independence, IA, to Fred and Shirley (Kuper) Witte. She was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith.
Ann grew up in Independence IA and attended school there, graduating high school in 1967. Shortly after graduation, she attended Hawkeye Institute of Technology for LPN Nursing, graduating December 1969 in Waterloo, IA. Ann was united in marriage to Larry Rupert and they were blessed with two daughters, Laura and Amy. Ann remarried to Tom Myers.
Ann worked various nursing jobs and retired from Riverview Terrace after 16 years as an LPN nurse. Then Ann and Tom moved to Florida where she resided until her death.
Ann loved living on acreage, working with horses and being outside. Ann also loved golfing, gardening, baking, and spending time with family and friends – especially her grandchildren. Ann was an active member of her church.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Shirley Witte, aunts and uncles, cousins, and one stepson, Tyler Myers.
Survivors left to cherish Ann’s memories are her husband Tom Myers of Winter Park, FL; two daughters, Laura (Eddie) Stoneking of Winter Park and Amy (André) Hendrickson of Gillett Grove, IA; her stepson Travis Myers in Kansas City; five grandchildren: Emily and Trey Stoneking, Chase and Kate Myers, and Chandler Myers; her sisters Deb (Terry) Foster in Independence, IA and Sue (Leroy) Grimm of Nevada, IA; brothers Fred (Sandy) Witte of Dyersville, IA and Greg (Nikki) Witte of Rowley, IA; and many other extended family members and friends.
Ann always told her family to keep faith, positive thoughts, and prayer.
The family will be having a memorial service in Iowa at a later date.
