Roland H. Imes, 89, peacefully passed away April 30, 2018 in Winter Haven, FL. Roland was born December 23,1928 in Dayton, OH to the late Roy and Edna Imes. Later the family moved to Franklin, OH where he graduated from Franklin High School. He attended Ohio University for two years before serving in the United States Air Force. After his service, he finished his education at The Ohio State University earning an accounting degree. Roland married Cristel Hurst on May 10, 1953. While on their honeymoon in Florida, they decided to relocate to Tampa and then moved to Winter Haven in 1972.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Cristel Imes. He is survived by his daughter, Kendall Imes Holysz and husband John of Orlando, FL; his son Steven Imes and wife Heidi of Murfreesboro, TN; his three grandchildren Kristin Holysz, Kyle Holysz and Holland Imes; his brothers Jim Imes (Arlene) and Jerry Imes; his sister-in-law Judy Oder and many nieces and nephews.
Roland was a devoted husband, loving father and proud grandfather. He loved his family, the beach and sports. He always had a smile, story or hug for everyone he met. He will be dearly missed.
