Etta dedicated her lifelong career caring for the elderly where she spent most of her time at Quality Healthcare in Winter Garden, Florida. She was an extremely devoted and dedicated Christian that loved teaching about the Lord's word.
After retirement, Etta continued to devote her time volunteering in various ways including but not limited to church groups and being a personal care giver to elderly patients and their families. Etta loved to live life in simple ways such as spending time with her family, being a social butterfly with friends/family, traveling and swimming.
She leaves behind her beloved daughters Tracey Furnish (Keyer) of Kentucky, Jennifer Pharris of Florida, Patricia Detwiler of Georgia and step daughter Patricia Bennett. She also leaves a sister Patricia Shelton (Charles) of Kentucky, a brother William Vanover (Sharon) of Kentucky, a sister Sheri Denney, a brother James Vanover (Anna) of Kentucky and a sister Maryland of Ohio. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Harold McPhearson, her mother and father and brothers Richard Keyer and Charles Vanover.
Funeral services will be held at 6pm-9pm on September 6th, 2019 at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Homes-428 East plant street, Winter Garden, Florida 34787. Memorial gifts in Etta’s memory can be made to Quality Health Care at 12751 West Colonial Drive Winter Garden, FL 34787 and/or The American Diabetes Association.
