Edith Busey Hamilton, age 96 of Orlando FL. Devoted wife of William M. Hamilton (deceased) for 64 years; loving mother of Barbara DeBord of Orlando,FL, William M. Hamilton Jr. (Theresa) of Gainesville FL, Patricia Hartmann (Dale) of Westlake OH, grandchildren Kristen Socarras (Eddie), Bethany Hartmann, and great grandchildren Abigail and Alexis Socarras.
Our loving mother died on December 19, 2022 after a long and wonderful life. We miss her terribly but know that she is with our Dad, family and friends. A southern army cadet nurse who met a Navy officer from New Jersey at the USO in Atlanta and married in 1947. She loved being a wife and mother and was a strong inspiration to her family. Her love of sports started very young and she played tennis and golf until she was 90 years old.
A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to your local Hospice organization.
