Pfafftown, NC – Mr. Robert L. Tuttle, 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 27th after a brief illness. He was born on September 20, 1936, in Forsyth County to the late Kermit U. Tuttle and Madeline (Callahan) Tuttle.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Edward Tuttle, his sister-in-law, Shirley (Austin) Tuttle, and stepson, Michael Greene.
He is survived by his wife, Hilda (Hayes) Tuttle; brother, John K. Tuttle of High Point; daughters, Lisa K. Venable (Jeff) of Pfafftown and R. Lynne Tarleton (Kevin) of St. Louis, MO; stepdaughter, Terri (Terry) Stanley; grandsons, Mitchell D. Cheek and Kristian I. Finneman; granddaughter, Aleksandra K. Wallen (Cody); step-granddaughters, Katie Landreth and Molly Nester; great-granddaughter, Vivian K. Wallen; nephew, Eddie (Jennifer) Tuttle; niece, Ann Mathis; grandnephews, Nate Tuttle, Austin Tuttle and Taylor Mathis; and grandniece, Madeline Mathis.
Robert was raised in the Methodist Children’s Home in Winston-Salem. Upon graduation he studied at Wake Forest University and Gaston Technical College. He served in the Army and was employed for many years with R.J. Reynolds as an Electrical Technician.
The family would like to thank all of Robert’s friends and neighbors who always help and look out for each other.
There will be a Memorial Gathering of Family and Friends Saturday, November 30th, 2024, from 2:00-4:00 pm at Vogler Funeral and Cremations @ Forsyth Memorial Park, 3815 Yadkinville Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27106.
