Winston-Salem, NC – Mrs. Norma Jean Essic Segraves, 95, passed away December 21, 2024, at Trellis Hospice Home. She was born June 28, 1929, in Forsyth County to Clyde Sprinkle Essic and Maude Lillian Todd Essic.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Allen Segraves after 59 years of marriage, daughter, Marie Segraves Simmons and brother, Clyde Tillman “T” Essic.
She is survived by a daughter, Becky Dunn (husband Tim) and nieces.
The family would like to thank Norma’s special friends, Pam Moles, Melissa Shelton, Mary Sprull and Lyann Church for all their help and kindness. Also, a special thank you to Norma’s neighbors who were always there to help and look out for her.
A Graveside Service will be held Friday, December 27, 2024, at 11:00AM at Forsyth Memorial Park, 3815 Yadkinville Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27106 with Brother Luke Bell and Rev. Don Griffin officiating. A Celebration Reception for family and friends will follow immediately after the service in the Reception Room of Vogler Funeral and Cremations @ Forsyth Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Norma’s choice of Bethabara Moravian Church, 2100 Bethabara Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27106, to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103, or the donor’s choice.
