Judy was born in Mount Airy on August 16, 1948 to the late Bruce and Virginia Fleming. She was a great student and popular cheerleader at North High School where she graduated in 1966. After high school, Judy began working for Wachovia. She then left for a position at RJ Reynolds. Judy stayed at RJR for 22 years, leaving as a Law Department Manager. In 1990, Judy opened her own business, Platinum Commercial Cleaning. She ran her successful business for 30 years and retired when the pandemic hit.
Judy lived an active and busy life. In her younger years, she loved horseback riding and showing horses. She loved snow skiing, golfing, and yoga. She had a huge heart for animals, especially horses and German shepherds.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Grier Andrew Woodruff; daughter, Ashley White Vernon, sister, Debbie Fleming; sister-in-law, Tricia Montague; German Shepard and companion, Karli; and many other loved ones and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 10th at 2pm in the Mausoleum Chapel at Forsyth Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Forsyth Humane Society.
