Waltraud Martens

On July 17, 2018, Mom passed away peacefully at home. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Werner (Linda), Christa (Len), Richard (Cathy), and son-in-law Art. She will also be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Kristy, Lisa, Brenda (Wayne), Kurt, Hayley, Brandon and great grandchildren Cole and Kate and niece Kathleen (Juri, Rafael). She was predeceased by her husband Ernst (Ernie) and daughter Monika as well as her parents and siblings. Mom was born in Braunschwieg, Germany and emigrated to Canada with her husband and daughter in 1947 to start a new life. They successfully raised a family and made many friends. Following mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba.
