To Sandra's family, I'm so sorry for your loss. 

Sandra was one of the first people I met when I started at TC, and she was incredibly kind and helpful. She made me feel like we'd been friends for years. 

What a great person. 

My sincere condolences to Sandra’s family.  I was shocked and saddened to learn of her passing.  Although Sandra and I didn’t work together directly at Transport Canada, we chatted many times over the years while working in the same building.  Sandra generously gave her exquisitely decorated baked goods at numerous staff functions.  She also shared her knowledge and artistic talents with those of us who were lucky enough to attend her December 2018 cookie decorating class that she hosted with a colleague. During that lunch hour class, Sandra shone brighter than the sparkles on the cookies!  Sandra’s shining personality was taken far too soon.

She was a genuine and witty person and she has left this world far too soon. I hope that friends and family can help you through this most difficult time.  Val

I was saddened to hear of Sandra’s passing.   She was an incredibly vibrant woman with a wonderful sense of humour and an artistic flair that I always admired.  She left us far too soon. 

Our sincerest condolences to Sandra's extended family. This news was a total shock to us. Sandra had the perfect retirement planned and it is simply tragic for it to be cut so short! 
I was very fortunate to have worked with Sandra for several years at TC as the Director of Corporate Services. Sandra's incredible planning and organizational skills made it a true pleasure to go to work each day with her at my side. She also frequently brightened our day with her fantastically decorated cookies or cupcakes!

Our sincere condolences on the passing away of Sandra. I was very shocked and saddened to hear she was struggling with cancer.  I am so glad I got the opportunity to see Sandra and chat with her on Thanksgiving weekend a few years ago! She seemed very happy and excited at the prospect of retiring in the very near future, as well as being able to travel more and spend time with her family.  She was full of life and so positive. That is how I will always remember Sandra!

I've known Sandra for over 40 years!   We met in high school in The Pas.   I can remember the many nights we spent "driving around", listening to albums , either vinyl or 8 track.   Over the years, our paths crossed many times and we always took the time for a good dinner and a visit.   She had the innate ability to pick up where we left off the last time.   When she joined CN, she was working as the midnight operator in Kindersley and I was working nights in Edmonton.   Hours were spent on the phone gabbing, gossiping and perhaps doing a little bit of work!   When Sandra went to TC, Mark always sought her out for a "hi" when he was in Winnipeg.  Dinners with Rob and Kirk in Edmonton were a giggle fest.   She had a sunny disposition and shared it with all around her.   I will always treasure our time together.   

I’m so sorry for the loss of Sandra. She was full of life and positivity mixed with an ability to make you laugh at the oddities of life. I never left an encounter with her where I didn’t have a smile on my face. I will cherish the memories of her coming by to talk of the latest book she was reading, trip she was planning and the taste of her incredible baking.  Grateful that my daughter and I were part of her cookie clan. 

My deepest condolences to her family. She is gone but will never be forgotten.

I’ll always remember her fondly as a strong, loving person who made me laugh. 
My favorite memory is spending Christmas with you when we were all still kids. I’ve  always cherished this memory.

So very sad Sandra, that you had to leave this life far too soon.  
I will remember all the laughs, fun, and especially that big trip in the summer of 1973 that our families took together- the beginning, perhaps of your love of travel.  Now you are on your next adventure.

Sandra,  I am still stunned by your sudden passing.  Shocked you’ve  left us and the party too early.  Anytime you were planning an event, a trip, someone else’s retirement, you did everything impeccably, skillfully and with enthusiasm.
