Origene Wilf Riel

He was surrounded by his wife, Joyce; sons Morris (Doris), Dwayne (Lucille); daughters Diane (Jack), Wendy (Brent), Shonnon (Buzz), and his twelve grandchildren. He will also be missed by his six great-grandchildren; brother Allan (Wendy); sisters Doris, Anita, Claudette, and many nieces and nephews.

Origene was born in December 1931 in St. Vital where he met the love of his life, Joyce. They married in 1954 and started their family while he was working for Norwood Autobody. He later started his own business until he retired in 1985. While retired, he was often fishing, hunting, camping and spending all of his time with family. He extended his love of family to those in need as he was a loving foster parent for over 100 children.

The family thanks Action Marguerite for their compassion and excellent care during his short stay.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 19th at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy #1 East at Navin Road, Winnipeg, MB.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or a charity of your choice.
