It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Mohinder "Rani" Kaur Singh. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving friends and family on October 15, 2015.
Mohinder Kaur was born on March 29, 1958 in Ajitwal, Punjab, India to her late parents, Bachan Singh Mann and Gian Kaur Mann. She married her loving husband, Darshan Singh in 1978 and shortly after moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was blessed with three sons, Amandeep Singh, Brahamdeep Singh, and Iqbal Singh, who were the pride of her life.
Mohinder Kaur was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend who will be remembered for her kind spirit, sense of humour, and vibrant personality. She was a dedicated member of the Sikh community and spent countless hours doing selfless service in the name of her faith. The most important thing in her life was her family, as evidenced by her unfaltering devotion to caring for them. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends, whose lives she has deeply impacted. Although her life was cut short, it was filled with a tremendous amount of love, laughter, and joy.
Mohinder "Rani" Kaur is survived by her husband, Darshan Singh; her three children Amandeep Singh (Nishu), Brahamdeep Singh (Kammi), and Iqbal Singh; her grandchildren Ariya Brar and Ikam Singh Brar; her siblings Mohinder Mann, Pritam Mann, Amarjit Mann, and Harjit Dhaliwal; her many nieces and nephews; and the rest of her family and friends, who loved her dearly.
The funeral service will be held at Thomson ‘’In the Park’’ Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 20th at 2:00 PM.
Final prayers will be held at the Sikh Society of Manitoba at 1244 Mollard Road on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 4:00 PM.
