It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Patrick Desaulniers at the age of 38. Michael passed away on Monday June 8, 2020. Michael was born at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg on November 19, 1982.
Growing up Michael loved being outdoors, he loved to skateboard and as a kid had it glued to his feet, as he had a dream to become a professional skateboarder. His love of the outdoors really flourished on fishing trips with his dad Michael and his grandpa Lawrence. Michael also enjoyed being a cadet for many years where he learned many valuable lessons.
After graduating high school, Michael developed a love of travel, which was highlighted, by a 3-month adventure in Australia, as well as numerous locations across Canada. As Michael grew older, his love of fixing things developed, whether it was cars, trucks, bikes or houses, he was always tinkering with something. Michaels passion with fixing things lead him to pursue an electrical career, even starting his own knob and tube electrical service, as well as opening one of the first vape shops in Winnipeg. Michael was very intelligent and always looked for areas underserved to have a business in.
Michael was a very kind, loving son, a man who would help anybody out no matter his or her background or situation. Michael had many accomplishments in life but none greater than his precious daughter, Madison Alex Desaulniers, who was the love of his life.
Michael was predeceased by his dad Michael, his grandpa Lawrence Desaulniers and his grandma Peters.
Michael is survived by his mommer Sherry (Gary); sister Taylor; his daughter Madison Alex Desaulniers and his special grandma Desaulniers
Michael shared a special bond with his favorite aunty Terri (Cory); cousins Tyler, Devan, Skylar, Sandy and Tiffany; uncle Buddy and aunty A.J.; grampa Peters; his ½ brother Christopher and ½ sisters Danielle and Monique, as well as many other nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
