Arriving in 1972, the eldest of nine siblings, he was the first to establish the Sidhu family within Canada. Having completed his degree in mechanical engineering, he was employed for many years at CP Rail, which he retired from in 2004. His hard work and dedication built the foundation for the countless successes of many generations to come. His infectious smile remained, despite the numerous trials and tribulations throughout his life. As our family looks back on all the cherished memories and laughs shared with him, we move forward with a smile to celebrate his beautiful life. Sadly, he succumbed, resting peacefully at home, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s disease, surrounded by his loved ones.
A funeral to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. Prayer services will follow at Sikh Society of Manitoba, 1244 Mollard Road.
If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made in his honour directly to the Parkinson’s Society of Canada at http://donate.parkinson.ca (Team Name: M.S. Sidhu Memorial Fundraiser).
