On Sunday morning Betty passed away after putting up a good, long fight at Grace Hospital at the age of 92.
Born in Quebec City and raised in Montréal, she was a very proud member of the Canadian Women’s ARMY CORP from 1941 to 1945. After coming to Winnipeg, she married Fred Watson in 1950, and together they had 3 children Lorraine (Graham Moyse), Neil (John Wehr), and Sharon (Scotty McIntosh). She had also been blessed with 2 grandchildren, Nathan Moyse and Heather McIntosh. She made us all proud when she graduated with a BA in History in 1987 and she has been a member of St. Saviour’s Church for 30 years.
She will be remembered for her big heart and sense of humor. She will be dearly missed, loved and never forgotten by her family and friends.
Funeral will be held Friday, March 1st at St. Saviour’s Anglican Church (Munroe and Grey St) at 2:00 pm. A graveside memorial will be held at a later date.
