Judy believed in the angels, in heaven and life after death. Judy’s strong devoted belief helped with one of her greatest achievements, overcoming alcoholism.
Predeceased by her parents, Kathleen Star and Frank Wesley Rupert, Judy was born in Victoria Beach and was one of 13 children.
Judy will be lovingly remembered by her children Troy Rupert, Brenda Shinoff, Robb Bacon, Dana Foyer, Timothy Sean and daughter in law Jackie Lee.
She will also be missed by her grandchildren Bradly, Blair, Erica, Angel, Danielle, Maya, Kaitlin, Evan, Jaze, Jagger; great grandchildren Ayana, Tyson, Franklin Jr.; twin sister Roberta Rupert and many other family members.
She married at the young age of 19 to the love of her life Carl LaPratte (Ohrling). Judy loved to sing and dance and had the "gift of gab”. She’s probably smiling, singing and dancing her heart out right now. Judy had many passions some include playing bingo, watching tennis, making crafts and reading her bible. She worked many different and varied jobs, knowing Judy, it’s not surprising to know that one of her first jobs was a go-go dancer, then went on to hairdressing, and her most rewarding career later in life; helping those who suffered from addictions.
Her laugh was contagious, infectious and would make those around her laugh along. She was sensitive, compassionate and loved her family and friends deeply. Her beautiful soul is finally reunited with the loved ones who went before her.
A funeral will be held at 11:00am on February 14, 2019 at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway with viewing starting at 10:00am. Burial will take place at Brookside Cemetery.
Thanks to the wonderful staff at Parkview Place who cared for her in her final years.
You will always be with us, forever in our hearts...
Love your children, grand-children, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews
