Jacquelynn Doreen Burnett

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dearest mother, grandmother, great grandmother, Jacquelynn Burnett (nee Keep, formally Mitchell) on April 22, 2023, at 94 years of age at Seven Oaks Hospital, Winnipeg.

She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her children: Carol, Raymond (Kathy), and Ernest Mitchell, Janice Millar, and Dianne Drummond; grandchildren: Russell (Lisa), Jodie (Ryan), Candice (Colin), Jessica, Kristen (Matt), and Meaghan; great grandchildren: Gavin, Dylan, Victoria and Samantha; and sister, Kathy Moulden, as well as numerous relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents: John and Mildred Keep, sisters: Fran Gapp and (Jim), Mildred Alexander, David and (Gerda) Keep, and Walter and (Valerie) Keep.

Mother grew up in the St. Charles Area of Winnipeg, and worked many years at Harman’s Drug Store, retiring as cook in 1986. She worked tirelessly to support her family, and in her retirement enjoyed quiet at home time, and family get togethers. She was a dedicated and gifted crafter, knitting and crocheting from a young age, and creating innumerable handmade items that adorn all our homes. She also took up painting and has left a number of paintings that we all treasure.

In accordance with her wishes, a quiet family service will be held at a later date.
