Dear Hilda…you were always an inspiration to me…you were so gifted in the arts and clay crafts…I loved you so much, we laughed together, we sewed beautiful dresses together and we created male and female little clay dolls..you were my one and only mother in law…you were so good with Vanessa, your first granddaughter although Randy and I divorced you and I remained friends always in contact you never forgot Vanessa…miss you love Danina

Dear Aunt Hilda,
Thanks for all the memories and fun we had along the way and all the special trips we had together including our trip to Pointe Claire where we dressed up wearing hats and went to lunch.  We sure got attention.  My most memorable memory was when we were planning our trip with Vanessa to Banff.  For the month leading up to the trip every time we had coffee together you asked me if I had ever been to Emerald Lake. You told me nothing was more amazing then the blue colour of Emerald Lake.  I would always reply “well we are not going there”.  Low and behold on our way to Banff wouldn’t you know but Vanessa missed the turn off to Banff and we ended up in BC.  And there we were at Emerald Lake.  So I said “Well since we are here we may as well see it”.  The day was beautiful.  The water, a deep emerald blue colour!  Lots of paddle boats and people out having fun.  I admired your wit, talents and creativity.  Not to mention all the fun we had together.  Thank you for being a special aunt.  May your soul rest peacefully over blue quiet waters.  Michele 

Mommsie, the mother I wish I had had and what she was for me.  Bokar coffee, ceramic figures, sharing, caring, supportive, clothes swap.  Mommsie, always in my thoughts and heart. Now you can rest peacefully. 

Dear Del, Randy, Glen and Stephen,

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your beautiful mother. Aunt Hilda was very special to my family. I remember visiting every Sunday after my children's skating lessons. We would enjoy chatting and drinking coffee with uncle Dave and Aunt Hilda. Their loving and gentle ways made me feel like they were another pair of grandparents/parents to Steve and I and my children!

I remember when they helped us move to Huntsville by driving with us making sure we made it safely as we didn’t have the most reliable car. This was the caring ways of your wonderful parents. I remember when your parents baby sat Marshmallow when we went on a family vacation, marshmallow didn’t want to come home because she was so happy with Aunt Hilda. Of course she came home a few pounds heavier and had a insatiable appetite for for McDonald’s french fries!

Please know that your parents. were loved by many and the warm memories I have of them will always be in my heart forever!
