Mrs. Edith Miss "Nicey" Muriel Hall

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edith Muriel Hall(Miss Nicey), on March 18th, 2010, at the Concordia Hospital, at the age of 79.

“Miss Nicey “ was born in St. Andrews, Jamaica and moved to Winnipeg in 1985. As much as she liked being in Winnipeg, her heart was always in her beautiful homeland. What kept Edith grounded here in Winnipeg, was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Not to mention her love of the Creator.

Edith is survived by her sons Garrett Walker (in Jamaica),Leighton (Dionne);grandchildren Janessa, Taneesha, Alex, Alicia, Jahzay, Evan, Aaron, Keishawn and Jordon ; great grandchildren Charissa , J’aianna and one on the way in October. Brothers and sisters in Winnipeg, Jamaica and England.

Edith is predeceased by her mother Turman Hall, father Clarence Hall, her daughter Cynthia Hall (mother of Leighton) and brother Orville Hall.

A very special Thank you goes out to Donna Mitchell and her family. You all went above and beyond, over the years, and Grannie held you close in her heart and in her prayers.

We would also like to thank Pauline , Maureen, Kirsten, Bruce ,Dr. Weinberg (ICU). As well as Diane, Ocsanna, Shane, Ted, Maureen, Anna, Dr. Rob (3Rd floor), and Chaplin Kathleen of the Concordia Hospital. You all made Grannie feel very special and comfortable. Thank you and God Bless you all, you all have a special Angel watching over you now. We will never forget you.

Funeral services will be held at Thomson in the Park on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 10:oo am and the viewing will be held at 9:00 am.

A reception to follow and private interment with the family will follow.
