He will be missed by his wife Debbie and their two sons, Andrew (Callie) and Iain; his sister and brother-in-law, Maureen and Dan Sitar, and their sons Jamie and Scott and their families; extended family and many long-time friends.
Allan was born in East Kildonan to Andrew and Louise Crump. As a child he enjoyed the "out on the streets from dawn to dusk" lifestyle of the 50s. He loved sports, settling into basketball once he reached high school. He graduated from Miles Macdonnell and then the University of Manitoba with a Commerce degree and a large group of friends. For most of his working life he was a financial planner and his clients appreciated his diligent, thoughtful style. He loved his family, our many dogs and cats, golfing with family and friends, basketball and watching TV sports. He helped coach soccer and baseball with our boys and basketball at River East Collegiate.
Sadly, over the last few years, dementia had taken him from us. Our family would like to thank the many friends who helped us during this time and the staff at The Maples for their care and support over the last months of Allan's life.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 3, at 2:00 pm, at Immanuel United Church, 755 Golspie Street (corner of Golspie and Kimberley).
If you wish to make a donation in Allan's memory, we know that he would appreciate gifts to any organization that helps animals, wild or tame.
Ring the bells that still can ring,
Forget your perfect offering,
There is a crack in everything,
That's how the light gets in.
