Maurice O'Callaghan

Loving husband and soul mate of Katherine Roth for over 20 years. Cherished father of Suzanne, Patricia, Daniel (Karen), Jennifer (Donny), and Mark (Alexandra). Proud grandfather of Christopher (2019), Daniel, Connor (2018), Rachel, Aaron, Michael, Clara, Sean, Quinn and new baby Riley. Great grandfather of Marley.

Born and educated in Toronto, Maurice was a senior manager for 30 years with Bell Canada. It was there that he trained staff and created presentations for their professional development. Many people have said, "He was the best boss I ever had!" His love of speaking during those years and the encouragement he received from those who heard him, gave him the desire to launch his successful professional speaking career in 1986. Since then he has "touched hearts and changed lives" through his many programs including his most beloved talk, "A Magic Way of Going" which he also turned into a sought after book. He made his audiences laugh and cry and many people made significant changes in their lives after hearing Maurice. Some of his proudest moments were during his teenage years in Toronto when he played football for Danforth Tech, Balmy Beach and the Toronto Argonauts.

Our family is so grateful for all the staff at Extendicare, Southwood Lakes for the amazing care and love that Maurice received. He enjoyed a good life there and they became his second family. Maurice's favourite charity was Make a Wish-Canada and all of the proceeds of his book were donated to make wishes for children come true.

Cremation has taken place. Interment Heavenly Rest Windsor.

A celebration of Maurice's life is planned when Covid-19 is behind us and we can gather to remember this talented athlete, fine musician, international professional speaker and generous man who touched so many lives.
