Born in 1916 in Leamington, Ontario to loving parents, Thomas and Mary-Jane Mason. Kay was predeceased by her husband Ernest Anderson, (1997) former President of Anderson’s Funeral Home, who was an honorable man and husband of more than 50 years. Kay outlived, but continued to love her sisters, Lena and Elaine, and brothers, Tom and Albert. Kay is survived by her treasured daughters, Patricia, wife of Dr. Robert Konopasky of Halifax, and Ruthmary of Windsor. Proud grandmother to Dr. Aaron Konopasky, and his wife Dr. Abigail Konopasky of Maryland. Pictures of her great-grandchildren Annalise and Charlie were kept in arms reach and served as beacons when life was cloudy. Kay treasured all her nieces and nephews. She faithfully attended All Saints Anglican Church, Windsor, for decades, and enjoyed being a volunteer in the Kinette Club, Grace Hospital and the Windsor Art Gallery. She was a life member of Essex Golf and Country Club and the Windsor Club. Before her marriage to Ernie, Kay worked as a legal secretary for Rodd, Wagle, Whiteside and Jasperson. We want to thank the nurses of 2 West, Dr. Musgrove, and the management and staff of the Sun Parlor Home. Like family and friends, these good people made Kay’s life happy and comfortable. Visitation will be held at Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 895 Ouellette Avenue (519-254-3223) on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the Anderson Memorial Chapel on Monday, October 24, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Victoria Memorial Gardens. In Lieu of flowers, donations to All Saints Anglican Church or Charity of Your Choice would be appreciated by the family.
