Sara Elder Patrick

Sara Elder Patrick, age 90, of Winder, Georgia passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021. Sara was born August 19, 1931, to the late Ira Lewis and Fannie Lee Delay Elder. Sara was a Registered Nurse with the Barrow County Health Department. She was married to the late Bennie Joe Patrick.

Mrs. Patrick is preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Joe Patrick; parents Ira L. Elder and Fannie Lee Delay Elder; two sisters: Martha Alice Elder and Sue Ellen Elder Pentecost; and two great-grandchildren: Peyton McCormick and Brooklyn Bridgefarmer.

Mrs. Patrick is survived by her children: Scott Patrick of Savannah, Nancy (Dave) Flanagan of Destin, FL, Sherry (Gary) Crowder of St. Petersburg Beach, FL, Kathy (Ron) Bridgefarmer and Gaye Farmer of Gainesville, GA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Kelly, Katie, Patrick, Carrie, Brandon, Brett, and Paige; and thirteen great-grandchildren: Mackenzie, J.P., Connor, Addison, Alivia, Cole, Kylie, Kasey, Emma, Madilyn, Piper, Hudson, and Everly. Mrs. Patrick is also survived by her sister Beth Elder (Ronnie) Casper and brother-in-law John R. Pentecost along with nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Smith Memory Chapel and the interment will be following the service at Barrow Memorial Gardens. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home.
