Lyndal Edward Stephens, 81 of Suwanee, passed away Friday, August 16, 2024. He was a native of Bethlehem and a 1961 graduate of Winder-Barrow High School, where he played basketball on the 1959 championship team. Lyndal retired as an international engineer for Lucent Technologies, where he traveled the world with their cellular division. After retirement, he loved reading and doing crossword puzzles.
Lyndal was predeceased by his parents, Edward Eutah and Eddie Rue McElhannon Stephens. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Hye Jeong Stephens of Suwanee; two daughters: Shyral Hyatt (Johnny) of St. Louis, MO and Shelly Stephens of Lawrenceville; two brothers: Terry Stephens (Joan) of Bethlehem and Ronnie Stephens (Cherry) of Winder; and two grandchildren: Brianna Wilmot of Decatur and Asa Hyatt of Spokane, WA.
A memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at 1:00PM in Smith Memory Chapel.
