Kim Hammond Smith, 41, died Sunday, September 18, 2011.
Born in Athens, she was the daughter of Lucy Turner Hammond of Winder and the late Dean Hammond. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Smith.
Survivors in addition to her mother include a son and his special friend, Shane Huff and Kari Armstrong, Winder; a grandchild, McKenzie Huff; and sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Wesley Skinner.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 22, at 2 p.m., from Galilee Christian Church with Pastor Tom Plank officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, September 21, from 6 to 9 p.m.
