Jason Lane Garrett, age 50, of Bogart, GA passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. Jason grew up in the Baptist Church. He attended Winder-Barrow High School. Jason was the owner of Specialty Pest Control. When not working, Jason was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed golfing, hunting and motorcycles. He was a fan of UGA Football. Jason never met a stranger.
Jason was the son of Mary Ann Wright Garrett and the late Royce Allen "Curly" Garrett. In addition to his mother, Jason is survived by his Step-Dad, Larry Booth of Comer; his partner, Shelly Embrick of Bogart; and his daughter, Yasmine Embrick.
A visitation for family and friends of Jason will be held Monday, March 25, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Smith Funeral Home in Winder, followed by a Funeral Service in Smith Memory Chapel at 2:00 PM. Rev. Johnny Wright will officiate. Jason will be laid to rest in Chapel Christian Church Cemetery, Winder, GA. The family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the charity of your choice or to the American Diabetes Association.
